Psychological evaluation is generally performed only by a licensed psychologist for various purposes (i.e. legal, medical, educational, and/or personal use). Dr. Pham and her team of experts have extensive experience providing psychological assessments. They are currently providing the following psychological evaluation services:
Forensic
Forensic evaluation and assessment is often used in legal settings to document a wide variety of psychologically relevant information, including but not limited to work-related injury, fitness for duty, custody, evaluation of malingering and deception, employment discrimination and harassment.
Dr. Pham and her team of psychologists provide evaluations in the area of personal injury, workers' compensation, child custody, and law enforcement qualifications. They work closely with you, your lawyer, and/or other professionals in your case to ensure that the assessment conducted will address your specific needs.
Additionally, with certain personal and industrial injuries, Dr. Pham and her team may be able to work with you in lien as well as providing referrals to attornies and doctors to address your legal and physical health needs.
Psychoeducational
This type of evaluation is usually conducted for children, adolescents, and sometimes adults to identify academic, emotional, and behavioral strengths and weaknesses to get appropriate help and to improve specific areas of functioning. Different assessment procedures are used depending upon the referral questions and presenting problems.
A full battery of psychological tests can be laborious in time of administering, scoring, interpreting and report writing. However, it provides a whole picture of the individual that is designed to help parents and school personnel in developing a curriculum or knowing what steps need to be taken to help the child/adolescent to be more successful. Additionally, it also helps adults to secure accommodation for certain standard tests.
Psychodiagnostic:
A comprehensive psychodiagnostic evaluation is conducted when an individual would like to know more about issues that they are currently struggling with, learning about how these problems may have originated or developed, and to explore targeted treatment options. This type of assessment will provide a comprehensive clinical picture that helps the person to have a better understanding of themselves and their interpersonal relationship. It also helps by providing a guide map for a treating clinician to formulate a treatment plan without wasting your time and money.
